If I were to summarize this entire semester into a saying, it would definitely be a big:
"No pain, no gain."
Why so? It is clear to me that every effort counts. No matter how easy an assignment would be, we still need to put in a hundred percent focus into such works, earnestly. Let's trust that the more we put into our works, the more we will get out from them.
Stupidity and ignorance are used to describe how one would expect different results without changing the method of conducting the procedures. We may not be successful at our first shot, most of the time - and that is okay. The lesson is to try and try until we succeed.
There were so many instances throughout the semester that I had to switch the ways I normally do things: writing a paper, conducting some experiments and gathering information. If things don't work in one way, try another. I strongly believe that every thing has its potentially good, adequate way of accomplishment.
So, before we swing into the Christmas mood and holiday idleness, let's take some time to evaluate our habits and practices over the year and check whether there are areas for improvement. Don't wait till New Year's eve to stumble through your resolution list. Take time, take effort, and allow some imagination.
Man, I can't describe how excited I am for the break. To those who are traveling, take good care; to those who are staying with friends and families, enjoy the warmth around them; and to those who are staying on campus or have no plans to fulfill, call me!
Have a wonderful start to your holidays! Cheerios.
