Thundercats reboot series first pic- FAIL

A first pic for the upcoming thudercats reboot was released earlier today. I think it looks horrible. It seems the creators tried to make it as much as kid-friendly as possible. They have these fake anime hair which i hate. If you want to take an anime approach, sure no probs, but do not try to westernised it. It just doesn't work ! Below i have posted the pic and another one from the 80's show.
