Saturday: A trip with the locals

So off we went to the Mall of America, the biggest shopping mall in the whole of United States. Located at Minneapolis, just an hour drive from our campus, St. Cloud.

Similar to Times Square KL, there is a theme park in the mall. They called it "playground".

We looked around for Asian food as most of us craved for it. And there is it, Thai Kitchen.

Jasmine and friends.

Our tour guides, Huy and Cam. They are dating couples. Cam is a graduate student in SCSU, Mass Comm while Huy works in the city, Minneapolis. Huy has the citizenship for both Vietnam and the U.S.

Me clearing the table after meal, something that I've never done at M'sia restaurants.

We shopped till 5plus after being kinda satisfied with our goods and then we visited the other city in the Twin Cities, St. Paul. Huy brought us to the St. Paul Capital. It is the administrative building for the State Governors.

The beautiful structure. It looks like the White House to me. Huy said that the gold on the statues are real gold.

Align Center

From the left: Mio (Japanese), Anh (Vietnamese), Jasmine, Quan (Vietnamese), Myself and Cam (Vietnamese)

After which, we went back to the campus for our Resident's floor meeting. That's when I first met my roommate Derek, he's a cool guy. Then, we went to Cam's apartment for dinner. Asian food again! I also enjoyed playing Wii station after the dinner.

Look, Asian rice! And roasted ducks.

Wrong demo, don't imitate. Never worship rice even when necessary.

So in conclusion, we had an American tour with Asian food trip. Thank God for the friends. Classes are starting tomorrow. Time to get myself ready for it.

Ciao!
