Being KIDS again

How we wish we could be Kids again. Laughters that are pure from the heart, words that are sincere, no worries, no hatred, no stress. You may have just met another kid outside that you had never met before and the next thing you knew was that both of you are already playing together. Remember those days? When you were still a child, looking forward each day - to grow up to be adults.

Being grown ups, we are now longing to be kids again. We want to be free from stress, free from works, free from responsibilities, free from chaos, free from fights, free from everything -- so that we can all play together like kids again. Why not? =)

To Persuade

Another random post: Should condoms be given free for college students?

I'm currently working on a persuasive speech for Public Speaking class on the above mentioned topic. I'll be happy to receive comments. Feel free to drop your thoughts here! Of course, with supporting examples. =p

*****

Had fun during the Field Trip to Port Dickson. However, as expected, got burnt. Anyway, all these are worth while because I managed to snap a lot nice photos at the beach. Started to wonder at the work of our Creator. The weather was fantastic. The scenery was amazing. Thank God!

Next up, Psychology Day @ 22nd Oct 2008. Our skills & strategies in helping professions class will be setting up booth for free student counseling session. I am burdened again as the project manager to ensure the smooth running of the day, oh God, grant me wisdom! It is important again as it contributes 10% to our finals. Hope it turns out to be a successful event.

Many things to be worried about, but still have sometime to grasp some air. Living life to its fullest! 1st KL will be organizing Sq-Overnite Activity this Saturday, and the programme will be starting at 5pm. PMR Study leavers, I look forward to see you there! It's time to release your inner self for a time of FUN activities with your fellow comrades!

Looking forward to every new day.

Works vs Choices

Woah, woah, woah!

I am stucked in this world of works! I wonder why the lecturers love to throw the assignments to us at this time! I would appreciate it if they were to tell us earlier. Anyway, no point thinking over things that I can't change (Argh!!).

Time is the essence. I think I've learnt more about this phrase thro' meeting deadlines. I know I am getting worse in my time management. However, one can't put the clock back, I guess I should just look forward, look ahead, so that I do not repeat the same mistakes again. Oh God, please help me!

Midterm is over, praise God that I have made it through. But the works and assignments that are coming up are more burdening. Maybe this is the style for Long semester. Timetable for the next sem will be out tomorrow, and I'm very excited about it. I don't know why I am always anticipating new timetables, I love choosing my subjects for the following semesters, I love discussing with my friends over the subjects that we want to take together, I love the picking and liminating my choices, I love doing all these.

I believe, when life has choices, we all should be very happy about it. Who will like to be forced into doing something that he or she may not like doing? God is Love, God has Grace and Mercy on all of us, that's why we had always have choices to make. Some may not love making choices, especially major choices in life. I would say: Be thankful when you can still make your decision. Be thankful when you can choose whether to wear a blue or a white shirt to college; be thankful when you can choose between McD and KFC; be thankful when you can choose to go BB or not; be thankful even when you can choose to live life more meaningfully. Even though God has already known what's in our head, He still give us a choice to make. Just like God knew that Peter will choose to deny Him 3 times before the cock crookes.

Praise the Lord, because of Him, everything were made possible.

L!ving It Full Enough

Phew, 2 assessments had passed, 2 more papers to go! Can't wait for the last paper to be over. Schedule is tight, as in, very tight. I've now realized that college activities are more burdening than what I had experienced in high school. I remembered the times when all the prefects (if not all, most) stayed back in school in order to get everything right for big events like the school's Teachers' Day, *any teacher*'s Retirement Day, Sports Day, etc. I can't count how many times I had been over-nighting in the school Prefect's room just for these events' sake.
These events did not carry any extra marks in my academics. However, now, what ever you do here in college, be it a Psychology Day, Debate, Talk Show, Showcase, Musical carnival, Inter-cultural Carnival or even Field Trips are all important events because they contribute big portion of marks to all your subjects. Sometimes, I admit that it is stressful to organize these events or activities. But, on the other hand, I do enjoy carrying out these activities. It is the reason I prefer the American Degree styles. Students are assessed both in curriculums and co-curriculums activities. It provides a chance for all students to work things out "hands-on" rather than just sitting behind the study table and memorizing facts. There are also clubs and societies that students join not because of the 'marks'. However, they still contribute because active students have a higher chance in getting scholarships.
Many have asked me, why do I still involved with the Boys Brigade even though I do not really "need" them. I do ask myself the question too. But, I've always come to the same conclusion: I want to join BB not because they need me, but I need them. Contradicting? BB allows me to serve God, BB allows me to help and teach the younger ones, BB allows me to learn about God, BB allows me to spend time with my fellow friends, BB allows me to learn how to lead or influence, BB allows me to fail, BB allows me succeed and BB allows me to change.
It's been quite a while since I am writting my feelings. I get to have time and write here because the 2 papers coming are 2 days later. =)

Country camp is near. The WildBoar '05 memories.

Holidays without Break

The most favorited food during the Retreat.

Time flies, college re-opening tomorrow. Another holiday that is gone without rest. Retreat went on quite smoothly and the Leaders had planned the programmes for the coming 2009. One of the events that I'm looking forward the most is the 55th Anniversary Celebration of the Founding of 1stKL. This celebration means a lot not only to 1stKL but to me. It marks the journey I've had with 1stKL.

College life is resuming in 7 hours' time. Returning to the life of Assignments and Studies. This week will be the Midterm Examinations week. Revision, revision, revision. One wrong step WILL bring a great fall. Study smart, strive to be the Best! Gambateh! :D

In love with the Art of Photography.
