The Chatter with Minkz Furr on The Page with RoyalKev: Beyonce Takeover!

Hi Furr Bunnies,
It’s your gossip pony Minkz bitches! Let me start off by saying that I want to congratulate Mama M.C. on parenthood. She is the proud mother of a set of twins, both different sexes, along with her husband actor Nick cannon. The couple just so happen to be celebrating their 3rd wedding Anniversary and plan to renew their vowels this Sunday coming up. If that’s not perfect timing I don’t know what is. The Good Lord is sending blessings out 3 fold!

Don’t change the channel because “Operation Beyonce” continues.  I know you’ve been wondering what’s the latest on Ms. Knowles and I’m on it babies. I’m hearing that the new (2nd), but official first single will be called “Til the end of time”. “Run the world (Girls)” may not be performing to their liking over at the Sony Music label; sources are claiming that this new track will be released to radio in a few days. Expect to see an entire list of promotional appearances in the works that include, The BET Awards, Ellen, Good Morning America and I’m hearing about a big surprise in NYC.
Also, don’t be fooled by the rocks that she got because Jenny Lo will soon be back on the block on her grind, on the American Idol stage to perform this week allegedly. There’s also word out that Beyonce is set to appear on the finale. Now other tidbits in the going on’s of the going’s on’s is Nicki Minaj performing on Dancing with the Stars this week coming ahead. Ms. Fenty is shooting her “Man down” video in New York. Also, Lady Gaga is set to appear on Oprah Thursday and take part in a Harpo hook up special. Who knows what the hell that means!
Now, Ciara has snagged herself a man. There’s a lot of speculation over what’s going on with her and the basketball player Amar’e Stoudemire from the New York Knicks. I think Cici finally has someone to share her Goodies with after all those courtside seat outings. He looks tall, chocolate and like he’s a really good challenge in the bedroom. All your hard work has paid off Ciara! Enjoy mama! When album sales are down , something has to be up (and it might as well be  your new baller man, right?)... humph. Shout out to Keyshia Cole’s mom Frankie, she’s back in jail she was arrested for probation violation and misdemeanor possession of drug – related material. As of this morning Ms. Lons is still in custardy. Who didn’t see this coming? We still wish her well. Well, this is where I have to say Chow, but I’ll be back soon! You guys have a beautiful day and remember to always kiss and tell.
And here is a look at Cici and her mannnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Mariah Carey gives birth to twins

A Journalist's Passion

I saw fire in every pair of eyes that night - not just the reflection of the bonfire, but because they were all flared-up about the allegory each person has to offer...

We don't do bonfire very often in Malaysia - it is a Minnesotan culture. Well, I guess it is probably due to the innate desire of Minnesotan to "get outside" after surviving six- to seven- months of winter each year.

I consider it an honor to attend Professor Mike Vadnie's annual bonfire recently at his very own mansion. This annual tradition started in 1988 when Vadnie began as the advisor for the University Chronicle. Since then, the bonfire became a "must-do" gathering for all old and new Chronnies, as well as their friends and family. I had no idea what the "ritual" was all about when I first arrived there. The entire party, I would say, was more like a social night. I got to meet some outgoing editors who have been with the Chronicle for more than two years, as well as to take this chance for bonding with new editors for the next year.

Like all other parties we had food and beverages. Everyone seemed pretty comfortable hanging around Vadnie's place. The real ritual began when the 30-some people - all related to the paper in one way or another - sit outside around the fire while MJ, Vadnie's wife, kicked off the night. We go round giving everyone a chance to say something, especially for those who are going to leave after graduation.

I was particularly inspired by Tim Hennagir's sharing about us being in a circle, echoed by Vadnie about the passion each journalist should take pride in. Tim was Vadnie's first editor-in-chief when he first advised the paper. It was fascinating to listen how these fine men who had gone through the test of life and shared with us their career stories. Speaking about stories, I would quote Vadnie's saying that
every person we encounter our lives has a story, it is up to us to find it out.
As we struggle through the institution's reorganization as well as the recent budget situation, it is fair to say that we, journalists and editors alike, are not well-paid for the hours we put into the craft we do. In my case, as an opinions editor, I cannot foresee how tough it would be to tell my fellow writers that we never pay opinion articles. It comes right down to me that what keeps a columnist/writer going is the passion to write.

Though I am an advertising major, I have been writing for the Chronicle for the past two years. I didn't surprise me that Tim, who maned the paper back then, was a public relations major. This makes me feel proud to be one of these "mass comm kids" who don't mind crossing the borders, going above and beyond what is expected of us. But I'll never say it is going to be an easy task.

As I'm pretty motivated to edit the op-ed section next year, I'm inspired to put in my very best so to leave a legacy in this school. At least 10, 20, or 50 years down the road, when we alums come back to visit, we will be proud of the marks we left in the archives -- that will be kept as long as men can read.

Journalism should be fun, let's keep it that way.

RollingStone Magazine reviews Beyonce’s: “Run the world (Girls)"

Say what you will; yay or nay, Beyonce’s single “Who run the world (Girls)” is getting a strong reaction from everyone. That’s no surprise; some consider the new era from the singer to be the most anticipated amongst all her peers due to perhaps, our expectation for Beyonce to set a standard. So far she’s off to an interesting start; the single that entered the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts at #33 (which is one of her highest debuting entries) was seen as both a notable feat as well as a slight disappointment. Clearly Beyonce has yet to promote the single, by performing or releasing the song’s video. What is being proven is that Beyonce certainly has all eyes on her – and for whatever the reason, she will obviously continue to be a hot topic. Here’s what RollingStone Magazine ranked it in their review of the new single.
RollingStone Review: 3.5/5
By Adam Rosenberg
APRIL 27, 2011
From "Independent Women" to "Single Ladies," girl power has long been Beyoncé's Topic A, and "Run the World (Girls)" is a blistering return to the theme. She forsakes fashionable sounds — no Eurodisco synths! — to belt over Diplo and Switch's ferocious dancehall beat. The message is party-hearty feminism. But with Gaga, Britney, Katy, Rihanna and Taylor all vying to be the queen of pop, you can bet B isn't looking to share the throne.

Review: Fast Five aka Fast and the Furious 5 - If it ain't broken why fix it?

Interesting...The word i would use to describe the latest installement of the "Fast and the furious" franchise. The 5th entry sees all the cast from every single movie coming together to race (not too much) and steal of course dirty money. How was this one? Pretty decent i would add with the exception of some really stupid sterotypes (and plooooooooooot holes). I will start with the bad ones of

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 trailer

The official trailer for Hary Potter part 2 has been released. I have to admit looks pretty epic and hopefully the last installement will have freaking action! Part 1 was a tremendous ... disapointment because it felt like a setu up for the finale. Some epic scenes seem to be taling place...I guess we will have to wait and see...

Review: Thor - How dare you not like the Son of Odin?

Just returned from an exclusive preview of Kenneth Brannagh's "Thor". Besides Thor being one of my favourite comic book characters of all time, it was nice to see the amount of effort that director and crew put into this motion picture. The most important thing is to be able to maintain a balance between silly and serious. Thor sometimes refers to himself in the third person and despite doing

Nobita Manga Series in Doraemon Wallpapers

Nobita Manga Series in Doraemon
Nobita is clumsy, crys a lot, gets zeros on all his tests, sucks at all sports, and always gets bullied by Jyian and Suneo. He is the boy that Doraemon helps A LOT. He is the one that messes up everything that Doraemon gives him. Now that I think of it, Doraemon is pretty stupid to give him all the gadgets. Without the help of Doraemon, he would probably be dead right now.

He is a ten year-old boy who lives at Nerima in Tokyo, Japan with his mother and father and is an only child. Nobita unfortunately inherited his dad's poor academic ability and his mother's poor athletic ability. Nobita has many, many personal flaws which are present in both the anime and manga very frequently: he can be lazy, uncoordinated, dim-witted, unlucky, clumsy, cowardly and unathletic. Though despite these flaws, Nobita does have unique talents such as his unrivalled marksmanship and ability to weave intricate string figures.

Suneo in Doraemon Manga Series

Suneo in Doraemon Manga Series

Suneo, another enemy of Nobita. Suneo is the best friend of Jyian. Together, they both beat up Nobita. The only reason that Suneo sticks with Jyian is because he know that Jyian would beat him up too. Suneo comes from a rich family. The richest in the Doraemon saga. He is very spoiled, and always making fun of Nobita's cheap toys. In all the cartoons he is pretty mean, except in the movies, which sometimes he acts pretty brave. He is very smart, but not in school work.

Is a Japanese manga series created by Fujiko F. Fujio the pen name of Hiroshi Fujimoto which later became an anime series and an Asian franchise. The series is about an earless robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a schoolboy.
