Chris Brown lights up the stage on Dancing with the stars

There was a little concern over how well Chris Brown would do at last night’s results show for Dancing With The Stars, where the singer was scheduled to perform live. The producers were worried that the audience’s response might not be so kind. Well, Chris did perform his smash hits “Forever” and “Yea (3x)” along with “Beautiful people”.
How do you think he did?

Rihanna talks Chris Brown

Singer Rihanna speaks of Chris Brown in Rolling Stone Magazine. Rihanna tells Rolling Stone magazine her decision to lift the court-ordered restraining order against Chris Brown was to make things less difficult for Chris in his career.
Rihanna tells the magazine:

“We don’t have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally,” Rihanna says what Brown did on that night in 2008 was “a personal
thing” and that “it had nothing to do with his career.” “Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows – that definitely made it difficult for him.”
But “you can never please people,” she says. “One minute I’m being too hard, and the next minute I’m a fool because I’m not being hard enough.”
Other tidbits:
Rihanna also shared some racy quotes on what she likes in bed.

“Being submissive in the bedroom is really fun. You get to be a little lady, to have somebody be macho and in charge of your shit. That’s fun to me…I like to be spanked. Being tied up is fun. I like to keep it spontaneous. Sometimes whips and chains can be overly planned – you gotta stop, get the whip from the drawer downstairs. I’d rather have him use his hands. I think I’m a bit masochistic. [***the condition in which sexual gratification depends on suffering, physical pain, and humiliation]. I love feeling like I’m somebody’s girl. I think that is common in people who witnessed abuse in their childhood.”
What do you think of the mouthful that Rihanna has said?

Britney is pooping for the world to see

Here is a clip from the outtakes of the movie Jackass 3D, that the entertainer was actually participating in a stunt for.  Before Britney made her entrance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Jonny Knoxville shared footage of the 'Jackass 3D' gang subjecting the pop star to horrific levels of human excrement. It’s an interesting watch for sure…

New Music: Jlo "I'm into You" featuring Lil' Wayne

Here’s the latest single from the lovely Jlo, titled “I’m into you” featuring Lil’ Wayne. She seems to be on her way to a strong comeback. This track has a great Latin/ reggae feel and it’s quite different from “On the floor”, which landed Lopez her first top 5 hit in 8 years. Anyone expecting Jlo to follow a trend and stick to a formula that returned her back to relevancy might be thrown off with this one. This seems like it could be winner. Check it out?
Will this be another hit under Jlo’s belt?

Ten days later

I'm swayed. Way too focused on the other aspects in life that I had almost forgotten about updating this site. Forgive me.

There's just too much going on that I do not know where to start off. Classes are going well for now since there's only one month left before the semester ends (woot!). Luckily, I do not have many final tests for this semester as most of my classes focus on assignments and quizzes. But I will still be working my butt off until the final week of school.

Good things first: I am grateful that I was selected as one of the recipients of the mass communications scholarship this year. Hard work are finally paid off, praise the Lord. Also, my submission for the Student Research Colloquium has been identified for semi-final qualification. This means I will compete with the rest of the presenters on April 19 for the $300 best paper & presentation award. Again, this shows that hard work bears fruit.

Greater things are installed for next semester: My position as the communication and design assistant with SCSU Learning Resources & Technology Services is secured, same goes to the CA job. The most exciting thing is that I will begin next semester serving as a Teaching Assistant at the Communication Studies department, teaching CMST 192 (intro to communications) and probably some 100 level classes. These three positions are the ones that I am looking forward most, not forgetting also the possible Editor position with the Chronicle. (Wow, I just realized there's quite a bit on the plate already. But who cares, you only go to college once right? Most people do.)

So, hopefully these are some good news for those who wants to know how I am doing, after missing in action for the entire week. I pray that God continues to sustain me so I can survive the rest of the semester and ends with a bam.

Please do continue to stay in touch and let me know how you guys are doing. Oh, I also want to take this chance to thank you readers for breaking MyLife | HisWay's stats record of 4,000 unique visitors in a month! The readership increased 200% after the publication of Aron Ralston's story. I appreciate that your support and attention.

Cheers!

Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E expected to land at #1

Chris Brown may be telling all his nay –sayers “look at me now”, since the latest numbers according to Hits daily double have Fame placing at #1 while selling 273,346 copies. Despite some negative attention after his Good Morning America incident a week ago, the promotional trail for Fame has paid off nicely. Last week Chris hit single “Look at me now” saw an increase on the Hot 100, making its way into the top 10 at number 8. This is his first in 3 years since his single “Forever” peaked at #2 in 2008. It’s certainly a reason for Chris (along with his fans) to celebrate.
Do you think F.A.M.E is showing a lot of promise so far?

Poster: Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 2 - it ends!

This i have to admit is a cool poster just because it includes Mr Voldermort. What i hate though about the Harry Potter flicks since i haven't read any of the books is the fact that their main hero sucks. He hasn't won any major fights, is a coward, keeps complaining about everything, his social environment is more active than him and more smart and more vicious while having more experience in

Poster: Kill Bill the whole bloody affair

One of my favourite films of all time, "Kill Bill", was seen in all of its glory on Tarantino's birthday, 27th of March. He screened the entire affair into an action packed and philosophical fest of 4 hours including a new animated sequence involving O-Ren Ishi-i's past. In his honour popular artist, Taylor Scout created this poster of "Kill Bill" representing pretty much all the major characters

Janet Jackson Up-close and Personal Tour Review (Atlantic City showing 3/25/11)

Janet Jackson is on a 35 city world tour. She’s made scheduled appearances to the East coast, performed several dates overseas in China and will wrap things up over in the West coast and in Europe by April. I’ve seen this woman grace the stage just last year in a sold out arena seating 70,000 at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. Janet is one of those superstars that always seem so untouchable, similar to her late outstandingly great brother Michael.  So imagine how it feels to witness someone so larger than life in such an intimate setting. It was all so surreal to say the least. Janet is one of the very best to entertain on stage and is in a league of her own. How does one describe the show that Janet puts on? My best way of explaining it is to compare it to a night of ecstasy with a superb lover.
When you first lay eyes on Janet as she enters the stage, your eyes are fixated on her striking silhouette as the lighting makes you aware of her presence. Janet is curvy, yet petite and wearing an ensemble that is quite alluring. She’s more than easy on the eyes. Her body is wrapped in latex and she has her best assets showing. Then she’s off to a dynamic start. She open with Pleasure Principle and looks vibrant and energetic. You see her hunger, you feel her aggression. She is passionate and domineering, not taking any prisoners. Janet doesn’t crack a smile, her game face is on. Janet fiercely struts back and forth confidently across the stage commanding everyone’s attention. Your energy is high and she possesses a certain power over her audience. She breezes through her first session of songs: “Control”, “What have you done lately” and “Feedback” and believe you me all you want is more. More Janet! She is making you say her name. Fans are screaming- “Janet”! She has you in the palm of her hand and after an incredible first round she’s off and running to come back later with another dose.
She has the crowd waiting in anticipation for her. You feel like it was one huge rush that your sobering up from. Janet is once again in high demand. The crowd is chanting “Janet”, “Janet”, “Janet”! …Everyone is feeling the kind of excitement in the air that makes you want to pinch yourself. Instantly she returns and like an experienced lover whisking you away again to be lost in her world. She is now playful, singing hits like: “You want this”, “Miss you much” and showing you her “Nasty” side. It’s hard to sum up what one thing drives you so wild about Jackson, she’s such a professional at what she does. She has great showmanship and every mood of every moment appears to be spontaneous, but the strategic thinking artist knows exactly how to set the tone. Janet’s smile is contagious. The interaction with her dancers is friendly. You are enjoying yourself and feeling giddy almost. It’s not a worry on your mind. Janet is providing the fun and she’s relatable and inviting in this segment. You’re realizing that the music is making you feel good and Janet is proving herself to be everything she was from the start of your journey with her.
When Janet’s performing, she’s the director. You have no choice but to sit there and marvel at this fascinating woman as she works you like a pro, exploring every side there is to her on her stage. Finally it comes to a point in the show where things slow down. The seductress in Janet comes out and she’s tantalizing in numbers like “I get so lonely”.  Janet is delivering whether she gives it to you fast or slow. You are mesmerized and watching her move with such great precision live and in the flesh, it’s making your pressure rise. Janet has to be the sexiest artist you’ve ever seen, period! It’s turned off and on like a light switch. Janet then gives you moments to see her sensitivity and vulnerable side. She is gentle and… providing so many reasons for you to fall in love with her as she’s cooing to you on stage. It feels like a soft voice in your ear. She’s singing sweet “Nothing”‘s and reminding people how nice it is when you “Wait a while”.  The veins are jumping and yes, the vocals are live where it counts. She sings beautifully, like an angel. Janet is like Christmas; you’re unraveling so many presents and discovering each and every one of her special and unique gifts.
After this segment a rejuvenated Janet once again emerges with another wave of thunder bolt electricity, Janet’s back to finish the job. “Scream”, “If” and “Rhythm Nation” are highlights these are a few songs that get you going again. That magic starts happening and it’s another glorious round.
Eventually she cools you off finally with tunes like “Make me” and “Together Again”, the tribute to her brother feels like a celebration and you leave on a great note instead of feeling emotional. All you think of is Janet’s awesomeness. You leave exasperated … and satisfied!

Lois Lane in Superman reboot is: Amy Adams

Amy Adams will be the new Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's directed and Christopher Nolan's produced "Superman" reboot. Interesting and intriguing choice. However, i think that Lois Lane as a character is pretty weak and the only thing that she can do is scream for her man to save her. Anyway, since i actually believe that Superman is a boring superhero in any aspect, the main reason reporting this is

That said, here is a photo suggesting potential location for the "Lords". Looks very
