Hopefully I'm just in time to wish all my friends and family members a Blessed 2010 ahead!!
I am still in the International House of Prayer (IHOP) Onething '09 Conference-Kansas City. Will update soon, but I thought I just wanna take time now to remember ALL of you, everyone that has existed in my life-even if I've just passed by you for once-You all are placed by God in my life for every reason.
I thank God for all your presence.
PS: I'll update more once the conference is over. Remember to return for more updates real soon!
Have a good one everyone!! I feel just so so good! =)
That decade besides the good ones, it has some unimaginable horrors. Films so bad, so stupid that would force u to commit suicide because u saw them...SO so so so confusing, so empty, so shallow, so uninspired and so clumsy that u find urself thinking "how could this horrible piece of ass got a greenlight and a huge budget?" THESE are by far the worst movies i've seen in the decade (with
2000-2009The decade is over! After many many bad films it is time right now to assess and evaluate the decade. Well, to be honest, it was bad, good and ...shit..Unbelievably, truly and utterly shit...So what do u think? Fasten ur seatbelts ladies and gentlemen and let's see how the decade satisfied our appetite for explosions, romance, kisses, adventures, pirates, zombies, robots, aliens,
Watched these movies at St. Cloud Parkwood theatre. Honestly, I personally did not find the theatre nice. May be it's because we're in St. Cloud, that explains it all. Moreover, it costs $8 for a show.
Overall, the content of the movies were good. I preferred the latter, even though I was inspired by the chipmunks (oh, and the chippettes) to produce songs. Sherlock Holmes movie is more to my taste. Just that Watson was too handsome, unlike as described in the original books!

Hopefully I get to update you guys when I'm in KC. Have a good one, people!
Hi folks! How was your Christmas day? In case if you were wondering what Joyeux Noel means, yes you were right, it means Merry Christmas, in French.
I had so much fun today at the Martins. Dave came to pick us up from campus and also some African friends from off-campus to his house. I also met Dave's parents there too.
We had great meal, thanks to Karen whole prepared it on her own, plus points for the cookies. Like she said, "you will never spend a single holiday here in America without cookies." I love the American cookies very much!
The highlight of the day was the Rock Band session I had with the Martin juniors - Elijah, Noah and Eden. They just gotten their Wii Rock Band set from their parents, something that they had been longing for, said Dave. So, they shared it with us. It was the first time I was playing it too, it was fun! Except the singing, I tried switching between the drums and guitar with Elijah and Noah. They picked up really good too.
Time just flies when you are having fun. We finally waved goodnight and wished everyone a blessed Christmas then returned to our respective places at about nine. While on the way back, Dave said that he will be bring me for snow sledding soon when the snow gets harder. I am so looking forward to it!
Something just popped out from my head and I decided to do something for my facebook profile when I got home. It was not easy as I have to take the photo on my on without any equipments. So I made use of my textbooks as a camera stand, Derek's table light as camera lighting and used countdown timer. Thank God that the Adobe Fireworks software from the school virtual lab worked on my new laptop, so I got to do the editing using the software. Finally it was done.
I haven't seen much of full body shot as facebook profile, I feel odd. [click picture to see my profile]
Alright, will be heading down to Mall of America again tomorrow to look for some after-Christmas sales, gonna have fun shopping!
This year was so intense from movie perspective. Spectacular blockbusters, amazing indie gems, surprises, great comebacks, fantastic animation, scares, deaths, comic book adaptations, reboots and laughts provide 2009 a variety of genres. Therefore how a proper movie fan like me can get bored? Exactly! 2009 rocked. It had huge disappointments but some movies really made an impact. Last year we had
This was a year full of surprises mainly negatives ones. However, this year will be named as the "Michael Jackson" year for two reasons. One because he returned to stage causing michaelmania in the level of the "Bad" era, with frenzy created everywhere he was going including London and Los Angeles. He proved even to his doubters and haters that MJ IS the king of pop and probably of music. His
After waiting patiently for 4 months, I have finally got myself a hair cut. Thanks to Fu Yong, a Malaysian senior here who was willing to cut my hair for free. Saved BIG bucks. It is normally $8 for students and $15 on weekends if I cut it outside. Plus, the hair stylists out there don't really know how to cut Asian hairstyles.
My fringe was shorten, so I decided to style it back to my high school look. You be the judge.
Ignore the dirt on the mirror.
I feel so fresh. I think I don't look as sleepy as before, Ha!
This post is not mainly about my hair. Even though I wanted it to be! I wanna share a few youtube clips that I enjoyed very much recently. I also wanna use these songs to say Merry Christmas to my fellow friends in Malaysia, Simon, Kar Hoe, Sai Hong, officers & friends from 1st KL, church, and most importantly my parents and brothers. Wish you all have a good Christmas season this year!
1. Ding Dong Merrily On High! (my favorite!)
Notice that the violinist is so good? She can dance and play at the same time, perfect!
2. Carol of the Bells
3. You Raise Me Up (I know this is not a Christmas song, hehe!)
I am not sure if you have heard women's voices singing this song before, I have not. I am so impressed by the Celtic Women's voices. Their harmony is just so good. And I feel every single lyric they sing, they moved me.
Brittany Murphy died on december 20th in her house from cardiac arrest. Another celebrity was tragically lost and joined the 2009 death's of Michael Jackson (heart attck), Fara Fawcett, Patrick Swayze, Natasha Richarson, Billy Powell (heart attack) and Ron Silver among others. I thought she was a good actress and she was bringing a goofy persona on screen and she was always extremely happy. Like
Graduation Commencement Fall Semester '09 (Click on the photo for more photos)
Its the second day of holidays and I am starting to rot. Attended my friends' graduation ceremony this morning. This was the first commencement I attended in SCSU. It was grand, and U.S. styled. It was different with the one I've attended in SEGi. SEGi had it in the Prince Hotel while SCSU had it in its own stadium. SEGi required me to pay not only for the buffet but also my certificate while SCSU provide free reception for guests.
I love listening to the speeches in graduation. They inspires me a lot. I remember telling in my previous post that I was aiming to be the valedictorian when it is my turn to graduate. I am again motivated today. I am also motivated by the graduates who received their honors. Most of the Malaysian graduates here receive a Cum Laude (equivalent to 3rd class) honors or more. Some had Magna Cum Laude (2nd class) and a few had Summa Cum Laude (1st class). You guys rock and you had made your fellow Malaysians here be very proud of you.
I believe having graduated is not the end of the tunnel but the beginning of a new chapter. I trust that many of my friends here will fly high in the respective fresh pages of life. All the best and may God guide you in all your future undertakings.
I wonder who will be graduating with me. I think it's time to get some kaki. =)
THIS IS IT. This is really it. AVATAR is here. In 3-D..In Imax. Do i have to say more? I mean..WOA! HOly shit! Where do we begin? James' Cameron Opus has finally landed on screens and i got to see it in an advanced screening before the worldwide premiere-who's bad? (Thanks Roger). Guys, when i say this movie is something u have never seen before i mean it. And it is not the effects, the action,
Finals are finally over and I made it to the end of this very first semester here. Praise the Lord for He's been there for me all the time. It was such a relief to check off the last item on my to-do-list for this semester.
By His grace, my results for the semester are good, at least I think they are. Will be confirming them with you guys again when I get the official results online by the last day of 2009. Now, I can only see my scores for each subject on school website, some of it are still incomplete.
Looking back, I've never regretted choosing to attend this Fall semester instead of enrolling only by Spring 2010. I know it was a very rushed decision - the Visa came in last minute, the flight ticket was canceled and rescheduled - all were just happened within a snap by the fingers. But I think God wanted to tell me something from this experience. I've learned to trust my faith.
When God is in control, nothing else can be in His way.
Many a time, I questioned myself why things happen. And then there is this very little voice in my head that will speak to me, telling me that God has a plan. No matter what the issue is, nor how big or serious the issue may be, God has laid everything before us. So, why fear?
So, Thank You, Lord Jesus.
With the holiday mood swinging, I have started planning for my break, what I should do during this winter break. Since I will only be going to the Onething Conference in Kansas by the 28th, I will be spending the rest of my holidays preparing for the next semester. I do not wish to rush my readings like what happened this semester, even though I managed to made it through. But, I think I could do better if I get myself better prepared before the classes commence. Only thing is I pray that my textbooks will be shipped as soon as possible. Oh ya, I am buying my textbooks online to save myself an arm and a leg.
I am so looking forward to Christmas and meeting people!
I see a fork, a mouse, a laptop, and two bowls of Shin Instant Noodle within my reach. My holiday mode has been turned on by the devil. I think what I did most in throughout the weekend was eating and online-ing. Not to forget, following the Prison Break series, now at second season. I don't think there is anyone like me now. *Go do revision!!* I am definitely the man.
Four more days till my Cognitive Psychology examination.
Today I went to church, twice. Once for the usual morning service, another was in the evening for the Family Christmas night. Many performances were put up by different ministries of the church, including the children ministry, the Reality youth, the worship team, just to name a few. Many church members to0 use their talents to tell the good news, some sing, some recite, some act, and some play musical instruments.
I don't have a lot of photographs taken for the performance, mainly videos. Those that I had you can have a glance here, my facebook photo page.
I am looking forward to Christmas! Even though I am not doing much, but, just the season itself has turned me on. Yea.
As for these two days, I guess I will be another familiar face in the gym again. But when I think of the windchill out there, .... (ggggrrr...)
As it creeps to the end of this semester, I just want to pay tribute to my professors who taught me this four months. There are more than a thousand professors in the university. I don't know how many I will meet throughout my 2 years here. I am sure I will not see most of them here after this sem. So, just a big Thank you for bringing me through.

Just returned from Chi Alpha Christmas Party, met some new friends! Tomorrow will be my last day of school and then next week having only one final test on Thursday.
It is just so cold out. Even though it drops and rises, still it remains between 2 to -2 degrees Fahrenheit. Ear muff and gloves now come in handy.
Plans for the winter?
Christmas Eve and Christmas day - Good News Church & Dave's home, Dec 24th and 25th.
Onething Conference - Kansas City, Dec 28th to Jan 1st.
International Peer Advisor (IPA) - SCSU, Jan 4th to Jan 9th.
Continue gym sessions - Throughout the break
Hopefully I pick up some of the textbooks earlier so that I can start reading them before the Spring semester starts. Books are another headache for me. I always thought it was expensive for RM50 a book, now I am paying USD 75 for a book. Speechless. That's why I am selling my used ones.
Ok, PPS, here I come. Have a peaceful weekend everyone!
Am i the only one who doesn't adore the jacksons? I mean i love MICHAEL JACKSON. My friends know that, my mom knows that but i hate the jacksons. Not the band the people! What i am saying is that after Michael's death people are adoring these fuckers because they have this huge gap that michael left. Hey since michael is gone, maybe we should turn our attention to these...people. First u give
Taskmaster got his start in The Avengers series and with his power of Photographic Reflexes he's a bad guy who works for the best price. The story point was described by Carnahan; "...will commence with the events following Taskmaster's severe beat down at the hands of Moon Knight."
Flash Gordon, one the first space-faring heroes of the serial movie age was created using primarily a Mattel Zip-Line Batman. Flash Gordon, an American football star and title character in the classic 1980 film Flash Gordon, unwillingly travels abroad a rocket ship to the planet Mongo. To save Earth from impending destruction, Flash must travel across the stars to thwart Emperor Ming the Merciless' plans.
The older Toy Biz Scarlet Witch figure is a good addition the Marvel Legends shelf - she just needed some basic work. I replaced her cloth cape with a vinyl cape from the DC Direct Superfriends Superman. The Scarlet Witch is a mutant with the ability to alter probability. She is the daughter of Magneto and his late wife Magda. She has auburn hair and green eyes, she is 5 foot 10 inches and weights 129lbs. Wanda is also the fraternal twin sister of Quicksilver, she was the first born.
Magda fled from Magneto (when she was pregnant with the twins; Magneto didn't know she was pregnant) after she saw him use his magnetic powers and realized he was a mutant. Magda eventually found refuge at Mt. Wundagore of Transia. The twins were born on Mt. Wundagore and due to the energy residual, allowed Wanda to use magic in addition to her mutant powers.
The "Legendary Riders" series features eight all-new figures, each with their own personal vehicle they can ride! This series is scheduled to include. he Legendary Riders Series feature a special collection of Marvel Legends. Each 6" figure features the poseability and detail that fans expect. In addition to the full-page comic or poster book, each figure in this series will come with a character-dedicated transport.
The left arm looks much like the right arm, only it’s painted silver. Which of course implies that it’s armored. The pictures on the package bear this out, showing a silvery banding on this arm. But there is no sign whatsoever of this banding on the figure. And it really ought to be there. Not only would it be more comic-accurate, but it would simply make the figure look better.
Iron Man is a cool fig and an amazing way to start your figure collection (in the case of my bf). A switch carefully hidden on his back allows you to turn on the lights for his eyes and the power core on his chest, while both his arms have a tiny switch to light up the circular emitters on his palms. He's also an articulated, posable figure with several movable parts - such as flaps on his legs that open to reveal the intricate mechanisms underneath.
Oh boy..i recently watched Twilight new moon. Having seen the first one(nothing special), i still can not understand why why why why? Why people are bothering to watch it? It is not a bad film like let's say "Batman and Robin" but it is really really and i mean really boring. So basically the performances are horrible or at least....wooden. Too bad for Michael Sheen. Dude u were the most awesome
Yesterday i saw a small film called LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. Now for those of you who don't know the story it is very simple. One guy(Gerald Butler) lives a happy life with his wife and daughter until some lame scum bags enter the house, smash GB's face, stab him, stab the wife and then rape her and the kid! I MEAN WTF? And he watched all these while he was alive and unable to do a damn thing. Later
Just because u are dead that doesn’t mean people don’t continue to recognize that u are state of the art badass. That’s what happened in this year’s American Music Awards. As I had reported earlier in a previous post, MJ received a total of five nominations in the AMA second only to Taylor Swift (what’s all the fuzz about?...anyways…). The nominations are based in the radio play and the sales of
Atwood After Dark last Friday was real fun. Tried many new activities with new friends!
We first played badminton in the Field House before we went over to Atwood for the activities. Once we reached there, we had some snacks. The funny part was that the "snacks" given to us were supposedly meant to make a gingerbread house. instead, my friends and I ate all the biscuits and chocolate chips, before we realized it. =D
Then, we went around to find more activities. We accidentally went into the ballroom and they were making fleece pillow there. Yea. So we made fleece pillows for ourselves. It was the first time I had successfully made a pillow for myself. They taught us using the tie method, so no thread and needle was needed. It was quite an experience, plus a few static-electric shock when the fleece collide with the plastic table.
There, masterpiece.
Coming out from the pillow-making factory, we invaded to The Underground. As usual, we had free bowling games. After which we went back upstairs and played pillow crush, basically using gigantic bolster to knock down your opponent. I won 3-0. =P
We also found more adventurous games like the picture below, racing in a ball. We also match in some childish climbing game, but it wasn't as easy as thought.
Before 11:30, we played 2 rounds of billiard and finally went home by 12 midnight. It was so fun especially in the mist of this stress for examinations. The next AAD will be in February, looking forward to it!
Drawing across my calender, I realized that it is December already. Pretty soon it will be Christmas and the grand New Year celebration. And there goes 2009.
Just had one of my subjects' final test today and leaves the remaining of my semester with 3 more tests and 1 presentation. That's it. Grades will be available online by January the 4th and Spring classes will begin by the 11th.
The weather is turning quite chilly recently, I guess the snow is on its way.
Sigh, may be I was over worrying about today's test and makes me feel kinda empty now when it is over. But, this kind of feeling is hard to describe. I felt tired, yet, I am glad that I've accomplished something.
Okay, gonna make this post as happy as we are coming to the very last month of 2009! Let's see what I've got for myself this Thanksgiving.
