Bookworm, finds it cool.
2 tests + 2 texts = me (exactly like what is shown in the lovely picture above)
I am amazed by the limitation that I've broken through recently. I am just so not me, compared to the time when I was still in SEGi Subang. I missed the time when I had so much fun watching movies, window shopping, lunch-ing and dining at Sunway Pyramid, hanging out with people I care, so much Fun.
Right now, I am stuck within the campus, surrounded by the many buildings that are starting to look familiar to me, feeling bored. All I see, everyday single day, are people that I know, as well as people that I have seen them so many times but never uttered a word. One thing that is new to me, everyday, is the brand new pages of the gigantic textbooks. The Dynamics of Mass Communication, 10th edition, Berk's Child Development, bla bla bla, I love you all =.= so much.
Alright, enough ranting. I still love my life. Good luck for my tests tomorrow.
Been There, Done That.
For this Fall break, I followed Chi Alpha to their annual fall retreat. It was held in Camp Arrowhead in Deerwood, Minnesota. It is a christian campground. A nice and comfy place to stay.
Our first stop before we reach the campsite was in McDonald's. This is my first time eating at McDonald's restaurant after arriving here for 2 months. I love the McCafe, nice one. I tried something that is not on M'sia McD menu, Mushroom Swiss beef burger. And the burger size is giant.
During the free time, I enjoyed outdoor photography.
Jasmine, Ally and I
You know what is backstabbing? This is back fire!
The Paintball Die Hard squad.
Me and Dr. Amy Anderson from the North Central University. She was the speaker for the retreat and she shared her Biblical Literacy Project with us. It was so much for me because I have never tried "criticizing" the Bible. I learned so much from her. I love the way she says that "What the Bible is concerned, is the reliability in witness". After all, I find that there's a lot for me to learn in Christianity. I had a slight tendency to study in the Theology school, omg!
These are the African friends who taught me French. Salut!
Boys! We acted crazy. Don't mind us.
Overall, I really enjoyed being in this retreat and no regrets from paying 30 bucks to learn so much here!
Please find more pictures here!
Another day for me to rest, then I shall reactivate my study mode.
Just so Amazing!
Wow! This is the "magic" of video editing.

Enjoy!
I've Finally Found This!
Both my bosses / Lieutenant Officers from 1stKL BB Company got married last 3 weeks!

I know this entry is a bit late, but I just got this photo from Jen Ric's FB. I really wish I was there during the ceremony. The bride, Ms Jennifer (Now, Mrs. Yee) is the BB Junior Section head, a.k.a my direct boss. Her new hubby, Mr. Yee was the former OIC, as well as the deputy captain for 1stKL bere he headed to Shanghai 2 or 3 years back for working purpose and returned recently. I remembered the days he offered to fetch my bros and I home for school when my parents were busy. I am so so glad that both of them got together. May our gracious God bless your life from now on as both of you live as husband and wife!
(I asked Mrs Yee how the ceremony went, she told me that it was FUN. How playful my boss is!)
My 1st Malaysian Night in SCSU
October 17, 2009 - Malaysian Night, organized by Malaysian Students Association (MSA)
Credits to Hua Hong Gan for Photography.
It was quite a blast. I did not expect this many guests last night. When I was helping out at the ticketing, I questioned the seniors whether the previous M'sian Nitghts were huge, they said most of the guest are walked in guests. I finally see it. I remembered only 100++ tickets were sold on before the event starts. On the day itself, walk in guests takes up another 50% of the whole ticket sale.
I helped out as a volunteer doing miscellaneous works. I was there the night before to help with the preparation, decorations and cutting some paper crafts. The next morning, I was summoned by the MSA chair to practice the Bamboo dance (I was holding the bamboo, lol, not dancing). Then, I never left the ballroom since 1030am till the end of the show, at 10 something.
Overall, I can see the effort put in by the M'sian students and also the volunteers. There were on 30 plus M'sian and some were not participating in this event. However, the seniors never got too disappointed with the manpower we had. I really salute them for most of the performances were presented by themselves. Each one of them were at least involved in 2 performances. Kudos, seniors!

I helped putting up the flags. Hua Hong and I had a fun time guessing the famous food in each state. One of the lamest one was: "...stop hanging the flag, I can smell Laksa already.." And we were under the Penang state flag.

We served M'sian food last night! I only remembered curry chicken as I don't have a chance to enjoy the food very much.

Event started with a traditional costume fashion show.

Senior - TaZhi Ong. This was stunning. We never saw him up the stage during the practice! Elegant-nyaa.

Emcees of the night. We had non-Malaysian as our hosts.

Lighting ceremony. It was in conjunction with the Deepavali festival.
Left to Right: Mr. Potter (SCSU President), Yong Heng Lee (MSA Chair), MSA Acting advisor, Rep from Chicago Malaysian Student Department.

Indian Dance by Karthiga.

Modern dance by the seniors, all boys.

Not bad!

Chinese Fan dance.

Kak YiLing! Malay Traditional Dance.

Ong is on stage again! Never expected. He made the audiences high.

Final performance, 24 season drums. Very dramatic, though.

So this is it. My experience of Malaysian Night.
Cheers!

Unfortunately, a lot of the seniors are graduating. I am very afraid that we will have to take up this task on our own next year. Hope that more M'sian will come to SCSU! Haha, FYI, Malaysian Nights are held annually during the Fall semester.
Michael Jackson Nominated at American Music Awards
Woohoo! Now that’s something! MJ receiving 5 nominations at the American music awards. How come? Well these awards are based mostly on the radio play and the sales rather than new material. And since MJ’s death, we all know, heard, read that he broke numerous records in sales, radio playing and downloading. So he got: Artist of the year Favorite Soul/R'n'B album of the year Favorite pop/rock

Halloween II ROCKS! You don’t!
I just saw yesterday Halloween II with one of my awesome pals Sam. I have to say this! Rob Zombie fucking rocks!! Although the movie is far from flawless he has balls to make the moves that would have left other directors wondering. First, he has a solid cast. From Malcom McDowel to Brad Dourif, almost everybody supports the movie really well. I have to say, the lead actress has evolved since the

While clearing up my documents...
I found this, our practice for the song we performed in RevoParty, the very first concert that Christian Fellowships from Segi Subang and Segi KD came up with together.
By the way, it is SCSU Malaysian Night this coming Saturday. If you are from SCSU, do come and join us! Malaysian Food! and some nice performance. For tickets, please look for me!

Feeling stress again
Had tried and tried to change the layout of my blog. Tried out 4 different themes, but none suits the interface that I want. Some can't accommodate the bloglist, some the chatter box, some, haih, just forget it. I ended up choosing a simple theme from blogger.com. Bare with it while I try to look for better layout in the web.

Atwood After Dark
I just want to remember today:
-That I've seen snow, live, for the first time in my life.
-That I've attended Atwood After Dark program, and for the first time enjoyed myself so much!
Well, before that I want to tell what happened on Thursday too: Homecoming week: Blizzard Shack!
I can't believe my eyes, they actually set this up right in front of my class building. A Ferris Wheel!
And for today, I decided to join the Atwood After Dark activity (9pm to 1am in Atwood Memorial Center).
Some of the activities that I've done:
-Stuff-A-Husky
-Galactic Bowling
-Pool
-Badge
-Horse Carriage (in the snow!)
The best part of Atwood After Dark is that everything is FREE. I enjoyed really much in the horse carriage with the beautiful snow outside. We took a detour around the campus, and it was just awesome.
I am just so overjoy today! Looking forward to next month's program! I am kinda into this homecoming week already. =)

Day time & Night time-Free ride for the whole day!
During the night, there were DJs outside Atwood and they turned it out much like a Disco. Also there were booths for free snacks. I had some cotton candies, popcorn and also snow-in-a-cup. It was so so cold outside.

Too bad I can't be there to witness him being awarded. S'hong, go for the Founder's Award!

Albertville Adventure
Shopaholics went to Albertville today. Thanks to Cole from Maranatha Christian Fellowship who offered to be our driver. With the discount coupons Jasmine and Hua Hong had provided, we shopped like never will again, maybe just me. o.O

The Monsters Inc series

Monsters, Inc. is a 2001 computer animated comedy film and the fourth feature-length film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It was directed by Pete Docter, Lee Unkrich, and David Silverman; and was written by Jack W. Bunting, Jill Culton, Peter Docter, Ralph Eggleston, Dan Gerson, Jeff Pidgeon, Rhett Reese, Jonathan Roberts and Andrew Stanton. The film was released to theaters by Walt Disney Pictures in the United States on November 2, 2001, in Australia on December 26, 2001, and in the United Kingdom on February 8, 2002. It was a commercial and critical success, grossing over $525,366,597 worldwide. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes also reported extremely positive reviews with a fresh 95% approval rating.
There are numerous references to other Pixar films to be found in Monsters, Inc.; one example is that near the end of the film, Boo hands Sully a Jessie doll from Toy Story 2, the Luxo ball, and a plush of Nemo from Finding Nemo. Since Finding Nemo was the Pixar film that followed Monsters, Inc., it was presumably a sneak peek to the upcoming film. Another is when Randall arrives in the trailer, it is the trailer from A Bug's Life, and the pizza delivery truck from Toy Story is seen sitting next to it. Also, in the bloopers of the film, Rex from the Toy Story films makes a cameo appearance. A series of video games, and a multi-platform video game were created, based on the film, such as a film adaptation, Monsters Inc., developed by A2M on PS2, PC, Game Boy Color, and GBA consoles in 2001.

The Mutant Ninja Turtles Gallery

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or simply Ninja Turtles, and previously known in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Ireland and Scandinavia as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles) are a fictional team of four mutant turtles, who were trained by a giant, talking rat sensei, Master Splinter, in the art of Ninjitsu. From their home in the storm sewers of New York, they battle petty criminals, evil megalomaniacs, and alien invaders, all while remaining isolated from society at large. The characters initially appeared in comic books before being licensed for toys, cartoons and film adaptations. During the peak of its popularity in the late 1980s through early 1990s, the franchise gained considerable worldwide success and fame.
For many parents in the late 1980s, the Ninja Turtles phenomenon represented the latest in a series of shrewd cartoon-toy marketing strategies, a trend that had proven very profitable with Masters of the Universe, Transformers, Thundercats and a host of other "good vs. evil" action-adventure franchises. Parents often found themselves at odds with children who demanded scads of toys and accessories after being subjected to so-called "30 minute commercials" delivered via after-school television. On April 10, 2008, students at Rutgers University broke the Guinness World Record for the "Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Ninja Turtles." 786 members of the University community gathered at the recreation center in Piscataway, NJ to accomplish this feat.
